Extra Care Support Staff

REACH delivers practical, sensitive and respectful support to people with a wide range of different needs. You will provide care and support services to older people at our Extra Care scheme at Blackwood. We provide care and support for 28 older people, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

We welcome applications from people who are able to demonstrate the ability and attitudes necessary to enable older people to maintain their independence and self-care for as long as possible. The work will involve supporting people in areas such as shopping, housework, maintaining interests, washing, dressing and preparing food.

No formal qualifications are required for these posts, as our in-house training section is able to support staff to work towards an appropriate NVQ.

Variable hours are available, working on a rota basis including weekends, Bank holidays and sleep-ins.

All support posts in Reach are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Criminal Records Bureau.
