Chris is an ‘inspirational colleague’

Congratulations to Chris Butcher, reach, who was shortlisted for the “Inspirational Colleague” award at Cymorth’s Promoting Independence Awards 2011 held at the Mercure Holland House Hotel in December.

Chris, who is a support worker at Bryn Pinwydden, Pentwyn, Cardiff was shortlisted because of his many skills and qualities. Denise Trenchard, Team Manager said, “When Chris joined the team it did not take him long to establish himself as a highly respected member, liked by all. He does not strive for recognition and is happy to offer help to everyone, particularly to the people he supports”.

Chris is a well respected member of the team. Chris has always had such a respectful, gentle and calm way of working with people establishes open and honest relationships with the families of the people he supports.

The aim of the Cymorth event is to raise the profile of the housing-related support, homelessness and supported living sectors and to showcase and celebrate the amazing work that is being done within the sector to help some of the most vulnerable members of our society.

All in all reach submitted three applications for the “Inspirational Colleague Award” . Congratulations Chris, and well done to Caroline Budget and Emma Fulwood, both members of the ILS team, Newport.
