Formed in 2006 by mother and daughter team, Shiela Jennick and Rhiannon Richards, Celtic Home Care currently employs 18 people. It was set up to explicitly provide services with a family feel and personal touch. With years of experience in providing support, care and nursing services, Shiela and Rhiannon set out with a very specific ambition. They wanted to provide services that run well above the required standards, putting people they support and the people who worked for them at the centre of everything.
Since its formation in 2006 Celtic Home Care has been registered with the Care & Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) and Newport City Council. It has focused on providing services to people in their own homes that enhance people’s independence, helping them to stay at home.
Judith North, Corporate Director of reach said, ”We were absolutely delighted to find, purchase and incorporate Celtic Home Care into reach. Their ethos, their staff, the people they support and the way in which they work fits perfectly with our own.
“We were looking to increase our presence in domiciliary care and set out to find an organisation that would help enhance and build on our already strong reputation. We’re both in the business of supporting people. We’ve considered it an absolute priority to achieve continuity and a smooth transition both for the workers and people supported. Celtic Home Care have a dedicated team, driven by a strong sense of purpose as well as meticulous attention to detail. What’s ‘business as usual’ for them is the quality of people’s lives. This is our business future and we are delighted to be walking towards that future together.”
Shiela Jennick, Registered Manager at Celtic Home Care added “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to achieve the success we have had and to have worked alongside professional people at reach. We feel reach will continue with our good work and high standards and care for our service users and staff, as we did”.
