Reach welcomes Marcus Hughes
Marcus Hughes, who is supported by reach, has been nominated to the reach Board as an Observer. Marcus is very excited and looking forward to attending his first meeting on Monday, 22 March, where he will be supported by Carol Eveson, Inclusion Co-ordinator.
Interest in becoming a Board member was sought through an article in a newsletter which is sent out to all the people reach supports. Carol also held an information session for people who wanted more information and they also had the opportunity to ask existing Board members about their role and responsibilities.
Marcus was one of a number of people who expressed an interest in joining the Board. Interviews were held with Amanda Davies and Carol Eveson. Candidates were invited to talk about why they would like to be a part of the Board and what kind of support they needed to make the experience enjoyable and useful for them.
Marcus will attend the next two Board Meetings as an Observer and we wish him well.
